Recognize the Symptoms Before It's Too Late

  • Using more medication than prescribed (or using it longer than needed)
  • Extreme drowsiness or nodding off during normal activities
  • Small (pinpoint) pupils, even in normal light
  • Major changes in behavior (isolation, secrecy, mood swings)
  • Neglecting responsibilities at work, school, or home
  • Obsession with getting more medication or doctor shopping
  • Financial trouble without clear explanation

If you suspect opioid misuse, it’s important to approach it carefully — not with judgment, but with support and concern. Early intervention can save lives.

Reverse Opiod Overdoses with NARCAN

NARCAN is the brand name for the medicine Naloxone. It is used to rapidly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, which can prevent the loss of life.

Quick & Simple: How to Use NARCAN in an Emergency

Administering NARCAN is easier than you might think and can be done quickly in an emergency. It can be given as a nasal spray or through an injection—either into the muscle, under the skin, or into the veins.

Regardless of the method, always call for emergency help immediately after administering NARCAN. With these simple steps, you can save a life and help someone on their path to recovery!
